Ebbs and Flows of Exploration captures a sense of wonder and a desire to explore something new. A certain sense of pattern is reflected with every mark - as new area is explored, it is repeated in some way elsewhere in the image, going forward and retreating backwards to attain an overall balance. This painting captures the joy felt experimenting with mixed media and a new color scheme.
